Combine sports and dance flooring in one container, keep colors/specifications clear, include matching welding rods and meet a tight vessel schedule.
Project context and delivery scope.
This Russia project combined sports flooring and dance flooring in one container, creating a practical loading and production-planning challenge.
The buyer required multiple colors, custom roll-length planning and welding rods. Production had to be synchronized with a fixed vessel cutoff while one production line was under maintenance.
Ordered specification
- 6mm sports flooring: 1,215 sqm blue + 1,134 sqm gray
- 2mm dance flooring: 1,000 sqm black + 1,000 sqm light gray
- Matching welding rod quantities by color
- 20ft FCL shipment
During final production, additional dance-floor quantity was produced in usable roll lengths and loaded after discussion with the buyer. The final container contained 156 packages including sports-floor rolls, dance-floor rolls and welding rod.

What the project needed to solve.
Container utilization, roll lengths, exact quantities, production timing, shipping cutoff, customs documentation and avoiding delays.
Recorded specification for this case.
How the requirement was addressed.
- Planned the mixed load around sports-floor and dance-floor roll dimensions.
- Coordinated production sequencing against the vessel cutoff.
- Adjusted invoice quantities when extra usable dance-floor material was produced.
- Loaded all agreed rolls and welding rod into one container and issued revised documents.
- Prepared invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and B/L information for clearance.
Recorded outcome from this project.
Payment was received, production was completed, 156 packages were loaded and the container was dispatched for the scheduled late-May sailing.
